
Clinical Student Intern
Alix is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is eager to integrate academic learning with practical experience as a clinical intern. Her approach to counselling is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and cultural humility, with a commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic spaces where clients feel genuinely heard and supported.
Alix earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Law from MacEwan University. Her undergraduate education provided a strong foundation in human behavior, motivation, and interpersonal dynamics, cultivating her passion for supporting others through meaningful, relational work.
Alix specializes in working with individuals navigating life transitions, identity development, stress management, and mood concerns. She draws from evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and Adlerian psychology, thoughtfully tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and goals of every client. She is particularly passionate about supporting diverse populations and fostering authentic, trusting therapeutic relationships.
Outside of her clinical work, Alix maintains an active lifestyle through yoga and spin classes, enjoys exploring local cuisine, and values quality time with family and friends. She is grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow through her practicum experience and remains committed to providing thoughtful, respectful care to all clients.
