Registered Psychology
Emmalee began her career in behavioral therapy and has worked across a wide range of settings with diverse populations. For nearly a decade, she has supported children, youth, and families with developmental disabilities, with a strong focus on behavioral strategies and emotional regulation. Her experience includes work in group homes, schools, mentorship programs, and in-home family settings.
While working in behavioral therapy, Emmalee completed two undergraduate degrees—a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care—followed by a Master’s degree in Counselling from City University of Seattle. She is a Registered Provisional Psychologist and provides therapy to children, youth, adults, families, and groups. Emmalee is trained in EMDR and integrates this approach into her work alongside other evidence-based modalities, including narrative therapy, cognitive
behavioural therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy.
In a world filled with obstacles and challenges, no one should have to face them alone. Emmalee values connection above all else and believes collaboration, empathy, and meaningful feedback are essential to fostering growth and understanding in therapy.
While therapy can feel intimidating or overwhelming, it doesn’t have to be. Emmalee believes therapy is not only about addressing challenges, but also about recognizing and celebrating the strengths, resilience, and positive qualities each client brings. She takes a holistic approach and deeply values the unique contributions clients bring to the therapeutic process—whether that’s humour, insight, perspective, or creativity.
Together, Emmalee and her clients work toward meaningful goals, increased self-awareness, and a greater sense of empowerment, connection, and fulfillment.
